Accessibility Statement
Last updated: May 1, 2026
Our commitment
Mutt is for every dog person. That includes people who use screen readers, navigate by keyboard, need larger text, or rely on other assistive technologies. We want trymutt.com to work for you — not despite who you are, but in a way that fits how you use the web.
The standard we work toward
We're working to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, published by the W3C. These guidelines cover things like color contrast, keyboard navigation, screen reader compatibility, and clear page structure.
We're not perfect yet. Like most e-commerce sites, we have areas that are more accessible than others. We test, we fix, and we keep going.
What we've done so far
- Structured page layouts so screen readers can move through them in a logical order
- Alt text on product images and key visuals
- Color contrast checked across the site against WCAG AA targets
- Keyboard navigation supported across the main user flows (browsing, adding to cart, checkout)
- Form fields labeled clearly for assistive technologies
Where we're still working
We know there are spots where we can do better — particularly on third-party tools embedded into the site (like reviews, payment widgets, and chat). Those depend on outside vendors who release updates on their own schedule. When we find issues we can fix, we fix them. When the issue is upstream, we follow up with the vendor.
Run into a problem? Tell us.
If you hit something on trymutt.com that's hard to use — a button that won't read out, contrast that's too low, a form that won't submit with a keyboard, anything — please let us know. Email support@trymutt.com with:
- A short description of the problem
- The page where it happened (if you can share the URL)
- The device, browser, or assistive tech you were using (if you know)
We aim to reply within two business days. If we can fix it, we will. If we can't fix it right away, we'll find another way to get you what you need — including helping you place an order over email if the site is the bottleneck.
Third-party content
Parts of our site rely on third-party services and integrations (payment processors, email tools, analytics, embedded reviews, social media content). We choose vendors who take accessibility seriously, but we don't control their code, and their accessibility levels may vary.
Ongoing review
We treat accessibility as ongoing work, not a one-time checklist. We review the site regularly, run audits, and update this statement as things change.
